\u2018MOVE!\u2019<\/em><\/strong> is the first word I hear while taking pictures.<\/p>\n

The concert has barely begun and security is already preparing for a crowd surfing dump into our media pit.Luckily, the concert-goer is returned to his feet so he can enjoy the rest of the performance instead of being roughly escorted back into the Kool Haus sidelines.<\/p>\n

Oh yes, The Prodigy<\/em> have invaded Toronto!<\/p>\n

During the show, it became quite apparent that the fan base for The Prodigy<\/em> hasn\u2019t changed at all \u2013 only grown. I recognized faces from performances past and met new people altogether. I think the defining moment that made me realize they really were still growing in fan numbers with their \u2018in your face\u2019 signature sound (and it wasn\u2019t just me being a hardcore fan) was when I heard someone say, \u2018This isn\u2019t on the album. Is this new material already?\u2019 when the popular \u2018Firestarter\u2019 track started in the set.<\/p>\n

Through the rest of the night the performance was high energy and of the calibre that you would have seen at any of their early London shows. Liam, Keith, and Maxim, have definitely not given up on their passion for what they do \u2013 and it shows through in their wild and crazy stage antics that can only be described as crowd up-roaring moments.<\/p>\n

This concert was to promote The Prodigy\u2019s<\/em> new album Invaders Must Die (2009),<\/em> and is part of their 50+ city tour of the same name. They only had 3 North American dates as of the last press release, so after Toronto they will be off to New York City, and then on their way to headline at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, FL. The Prodigy<\/em> know that they have a strong fan base in North America and from what I\u2019ve seen they pulled out all the stops for this leg of their tour in appreciation.<\/p>\n

A sold out crowd, scalpers trying to sell tickets for a 300% mark-up, and a 3 year hiatus, had everyone anxiously awaiting the return of Liam, Keith, and Maxim \u2013 The Prodigy<\/em>. Their last concert in Toronto was also in March, 3 years ago.<\/p>\n

The wait was worth it\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
