Dirty Disco<\/em> – the electronic music program curated by Josh Obront aka JELO<\/em> (formally presented annually at Pride Toronto by Don Berns aka Dr. Trance – RIP) is a part of Pride Toronto that many attendees consider their ‘must attend’<\/em> event of the festival weekend.<\/p>\n

With a proud multiple decade history of organization, Dirty Disco<\/em> is an ode to fans of new and exciting harder dance music across many genres.<\/p>\n

House, techno, dubstep, trance, and many blends of those and other experimental sounds resonate and echo through the Church\/Wellesley Village corridor from the Central Stage located in the parking lot beside O’Grady’s Restaurant (across from Woody’s) on festival Sunday afternoons – closing out the month long celebrations.<\/p>\n

The Dirty Disco<\/em> program wasn’t always hosted at Central Stage though – it typically was featured on what was once the location of the South Stage (down in the parking lot behind where Zippers Piano Bar & Dance Club was located on Church Street between Carlton and Wood Streets – across from Maple Leaf Gardens) before a condominium development was erected where the stage would be built. It also was hosted on the Wellesley Stage (a platform stage constructed in the street at Wellesley and Church intersection).<\/p>\n

Time changes most things.<\/p>\n

But one thing will always been certain – that you’ll have a great last day of celebrating Pride in Toronto if you are at the Dirty Disco <\/em>program – and this year was no different.<\/p>\n

Hosted by Rob A<\/em>. on microphone, this year’s Dirty Disco <\/em>program of entertainers featured:
\nJerome Robins<\/em>, Theta State<\/em>, Bella<\/em>, Nuni<\/em>, Audi Etoffe<\/em>, Chiclet<\/em>, Barroness<\/em>, JELO<\/em>, and closed with Ticky Ty\u00a0<\/em>who was joined by JB Sax (surprise!) for the DJ and live saxophone finale to close the stage.<\/p>\n
